Former First Lady To Speak At Elephant Walk
Former First Lady Barbara Bush will speak to both the senior and junior classes Tuesday (Nov. 24) at Elephant Walk, a tradition at Texas A&M University since 1922. The day’s events will begin 10 a.m. with games, music, free food, live elephants and T-shirt sales at Spence Park.

$5 Million Gift To Benefit Corps Of Cadets
A Class of ’53 Aggie and his wife this fall created a bequest of about $5 million that will combine with their previous $450,000 charitable trust to support "Corps 21 Scholarships" as well as financially assist the Corps of Cadets Leadership Excellence Program and the Sanders Corps Center.

From its inception as a a land-grant institution in 1876 to the additional sea-grant and space-grant designations, Texas A&M University has been a leader in research and education for how we interact with - and impact - our environment.
The Office of Sustainability was created in March 2008 and is currently assimilating information about ongoing campus sustainability initiatives.
Make sustainability an Aggie Tradition! Look for ways you can think globally, act locally, and shape our future.
