Participate in Campus Earth Month in April by collecting code words and earning entries to win prizes and rewards. Each word you collect or action you complete will earn you an entry into the Campus Earth Month giveaway. The more entries you earn, the better your odds!

How to Participate
Virtually
During April, there will be a variety of ways to earn code words and entries, virtually. Opportunities will be available on our YouTube channel and through our @sustainableTAMU Instagram handle.
Collect Code Words:
- 1 Code Word available in each YouTube video posted during April 2025.
- Code Words may also drop randomly on the @sustainableTAMU Instagram channel story.
Earn Entries:
- To qualify, follow any instructions on the @sustainableTAMU Instagram post that announces the Earth Month Giveaway. Once qualified, additional entry options listed below become available. Only options posted in April 2025 qualify for the giveaway.

- Participate in interactive story posts (2 entries each)
- Comment on our social media posts (2 entries each)
- Tag us in a post or story of you doing something sustainable (5 entries each; The Office of Sustainability reserves the right to determine if the action is sustainable. The same action can only be used once per day, e.g. turning off the lights when you leave a room can only be posted once per day.) If your account is Private, send us a DM confirmation.
Attend Campus Earth Month Events
Join us for live events during April where you can collect code words to be used as giveaway entries.
Our Intern Team will also be out with the Sustainability Cam catching Aggies doing sustainable acts and giving out entries.
Attend Campus Earth Day
Join us in Rudder Plaza on April 16, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our in-person event. Every passport code word you collect by visiting different tables is an entry after submitting your passport at the Office of Sustainability’s table before the event concludes.
Get Certified through the Aggie Sustainability Alliance
Certify individually through the Aggie Sustainability Alliance Checklist to earn an entry into the giveaway. Already certified? Refer someone else and make sure they put your name down to earn an entry!
Submit a Sustainable Office or Sustainable Student Organization Certification. Members with at least a Support Level certification will earn entries depending on the tier in which the office or organization certifies.
- 10 entries for a Supporter Level Organization or Office
- 15 entries for an Advocate Level Organization or Office
- 20 entries for a Champion Level Organization or Office
Certifications must be submitted between April 1 and (Date TBD), 2025.
Certify your Event
Planning an event during spring semester? Certify it during April through the Sustainable Event Certification end each person on the planning committee for each event certified will get entries depending on the tier in which the event certifies.
- 10 entries for a Supporter Level Event
- 15 entries for an Advocate Level Event
- 20 entries for a Champion Level Event
Include all members of the planning team in the same email you submit your certification.
Certify your Dorm through the Green Dorm Certification
Join the Department of Residence Life’s Green Dorm Certification in making sustainability an Aggie tradition by getting your room Green Dorm Certified. The certification process is simple and demonstrates your support of sustainability.
Certifications must be submitted betweenApril 1 and (Date TBD), 2025.
Bring Compostable Items to TAMU Urban Farm United
Bring your compostable items to TAMU Urban Farm United and scan the QR Code by the compost pile on site to submit a Google Form. Each compost visit will be worth 5 entries into the giveaway.
Visits must be on different days between April 1 and (Date TBD), 2025.
Notes and Rules of Participation
- Only one code word per event can be used for Bento Box/T-Shirts.
- You must be a current staff/faculty/student and have code words collected from at least two events or actions to be entered into the Grand Prize Drawings.
- Note, you must claim Bento Boxes/T-Shirts on the TAMU-College Station campus. Shipping is not available. Shipping is available for Grand Prize Drawings.
