Intern Testimonials

Cam Kasmiersky“Most importantly, be yourself! This program thrives on partnership through diversity, since we know our differences are what bring us together. Don’t try to be someone you are not, but embrace who you are and how your given skillset can be brought to the table to achieve great things in our community.”

- Cam Kasmiersky, Spring 2022

Claudia Martinez“Students should apply for the Office of Sustainability internship program because this is the most fun I have ever had at this university. Teaching my peers on better ways to be sustainable and bringing sustainability to them directly shows them how easily the changes can be made in their life.”

Adrien Shipou“The best part of the internship is getting to interact more with the campus in different ways. From the tabling activities that engage you to discourse with your peers to the team bonding activities to the leadership qualities you gain, the internship has helped me immerse more into my life at Texas A&M.”

Emma Clift“Being an intern for the Office of Sustainability is rewarding in so many ways. I’m immersed into Texas A&M’s sustainable efforts and am now directly involved with educating peers on said efforts. The workshops and outreach events are invaluable. Being able to educate myself on so many topics related to sustainability and then teaching and nourishing that knowledge to peers is something I can’t just do anywhere. The relationships made are long lasting and open up many networking possibilities. This internship is overall a perfect opportunity to apply the knowledge you’ve learned in undergrad while working with a team.”

- Emma Clift, Spring 2023

Maci Konen “The best part of this internship has been the relationships that I have formed. I have become good friends with the other interns and view the staff and student employees as great role models. The Office of Sustainability is such a supportive community to be a part of and it is obvious that everyone truly cares about you. It also provides you with a collaborative space where you can learn from each other.

I have improved my public speaking skill as well as my graphic design skills. There have been many opportunities throughout the semester for me to enhance these skills, such as campus sustainability day and our live virtual talks. Some of the things I have done I would have never been able to do without the experience I have gained with the Office of Sustainability!

- Maci Konen, Fall 2022

The umbrella topic of sustainability has so much to offer everyone and helps us find common ground in our interconnected world. There is so much potential for knowledge exploration and even though internships always look great on a resume, it looks even greater when you are smiling and having fun participating in it.”
